    This is where Pennsylvania's winning tradition had it's beginning!

The State Competition was held on May 31, 1986 in Dallas, PA. The teams who went on to represent Pennsylvania in the North American Hunter Education Championship were the Senior Team from Albion Sportsmens Club and the Juniors from Troy, PA.

At the National Championship the Pennsylvania kids emerged
as the Overall Team Champions in both the Senior and Junior
Events. The Seniors took 3 individual medals and 3 team awards.
The Juniors took 5 individual awards including 3rd place overall
and 4 team awards.

Eleven States and one Canadian Province were represented;
Alberta, California, Connecticut, Delaware, Louisiana,
Maryland, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island,
Virginia, Tennessee, and Utah.
