The Sporting Clays Challenge, is also known as the Shotgun Challenge. Clay birds are the targets which are thrown by machines in a way that simulates the flying styles of birds and the movements of small mammals. The "clays" may be presented as a single target or may also come in pairs. Sometimes the pairs are "doubles" ( both at the same time ), or on "report" ( one target comes when you yell "pull" and the second is thrown when you fire at the first target ).
